Donations: Your monetary gift to the Owen County Humane Society (OCHS) goes directly to work helping surrendered and rescued animals in need of a second chance. The OCHS also accepts gift cards from Petsmart, Walmart, and gas cards to allow volunteers to transport animals in the shelter van for adoption events and vet visits.

Volunteer: When you become a volunteer at the OCHS, you provide what the animals need most – one-on-one attention. You can volunteer for a day, a week, or longer! Your experience can be tailored around where your talents lie. Volunteers can walk dogs, brush dogs and cats, help in the office, drive animals to and from the vet, participate in adoption events and fundraisers, or help with general cleaning.
